Reviving an Old Mosque

Question

I bought land to build a house. Within the enclosure of this land, in one corner, there is a plot 6 feet long and 15 feet wide, enclosed under the name of a mosque; its walls are more than three feet high. People say that at some time prayer used to be performed here, but for many years the adhan and prayer in it have completely ceased. In this neighbourhood there are two other mosques where the five daily prayers and the adhan are regularly performed.

Answer

Since it is known that prayer used to be performed there, and its very form also shows that this plot of land is separate, is not part of anyone’s house and is enclosed by walls more than three feet high, and no one claims ownership of it — therefore it should not be sold.
