Maintenance before the bride is sent to her husband’s home

Question: A girl has been adult for several years; she lives at her parents’ home. Can she take expenses from her husband or not? Does Zayd have the right to give the expenses or not?

Answer

When Zayd has the bride’s send-off carried out and brings her to his house, then her maintenance — the expenses — will be Zayd’s responsibility.
