The Intercession of the Poor Companions for the Acceptance of Du'a
Question
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself, when supplicating for victory over the disbelievers, presented before Allah the intermediation (wasila) of the poor Companions. Is this established by the Sacred Law? I need a reference for this — [an indication] that it is recorded in some book, on some page.
Answer
He [the Prophet ﷺ] supplicated for the poor Companions during the Battle of Badr, and he also submitted before the Divine Presence: “O Allah, if these [men] perish, there will be no one left to worship You.” This is found in Sahih al-Bukhari, in Kitab al-Maghazi, vol. 2, p. 514.
