Not Dividing the Income Heads According to the Mutual Agreement
Question
(1) Zayd and Bakr started, in partnership, the work of document-writing, in which there are the following kinds of work and heads of income: the work of submitting forms and plans for buildings? (2) The work of writing applications of the ordinary kind? (3) The work of copies of sale deeds and the like? (4) The work of submitting project plans for construction? (5) The work of filling in “piyur” (?) forms oneself? (6) The work of drawing up written undertakings.
Answer
Acting against the mutual agreements and not dividing the amounts of the said heads is not correct: it is not permissible for Zayd to keep the amounts of these three heads for himself alone; an amount beyond his own share is likewise impermissible for him.
