Announcing Eid on false testimony, and the radio announcement

Question

To the pride of the worthy, the respected Mufti, may his blessings endure (damat barakatuhum). As-salamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Hazrat! Here, this year, on the occasion of Eid a very great strife (fitna) arose, and the people here have always been afflicted by this strife; so after your honour’s confirming answer, in sha’ Allah, this strife will be buried for ever. The sky is overcast, and the organisers of the biradari (a kinship or caste community)

Answer

(1) This testimony of Surat, the state of the respected Qadi, and the breaking of the fast and celebration of Eid by the public of Kathor despite being forbidden are a matter of regret and sorrow. May Allah the Pure grant rectitude and grant the ability to act upon the rulings of the Shari‘a. In religious matters (diyanat) the report of a sinner (fasiq)
