Fajr in Ramadan in the Darkness (Ghalas)
Question
In the days of noble Ramadan, if after eating suhur there is a likelihood that one will not wake up at the time of Fajr, what is the ruling on praying at the beginning of the time? And which is better: to give the adhan and hold the congregation at that same time — because people most often miss the prayer and at times it even becomes qada’ — or to pray at the sunna time in all circumstances?
Answer
If in blessed Ramadan the worshippers gather after suhur for the Fajr prayer at the beginning of its time, and delaying it until the usual daily time raises the fear that the congregation will be missed or the prayer will become qada’, then it is better to hold the congregation at the beginning of the time.
