Leading Prayer by Someone Who Recites the Qur’an Incorrectly

If an imam recites the Noble Qur’an incorrectly, is the prayer valid for people who are unaware of this? If a scholar says that this person does not recite the Qur’an correctly, but the people say: “Our prayer is still valid,” then once they become aware of this, will their prayer still be valid or not?

If a person recites the Qur’an incorrectly in a way that changes the meaning, then: The prayer behind him is valid only for completely illiterate people who do not even know three verses correctly by heart. But for a person who knows three verses correctly, the prayer behind such an imam is not valid.
