Arguing with the imam over religious rulings

Question

(1) A follower says that the imam should lead the prayer just as we tell him. Is it necessary for the imam to act on the follower’s words? And if the imam acted on the follower’s words and led the prayer in that way, is it right to do so or not? (2) If someone, in order to humiliate the imam, raises objections in front of everyone and presents rational arguments, how is it to do so? And should the imam answer his objections or not?

Answer

(1, 2) Such things are contrary to the dignity of the imam and the office of imamate; everyone should refrain from them.
