The imamate of one who sings to a musical instrument

Question

A certain man is a barber and sings to a musical instrument. Is prayer behind such a person permissible?

Answer

The barber’s trade is sound, provided he does not shave beards. Singing to a musical instrument is impermissible; making such a person imam is makruh tahrimi.
