A second nikah after three talaqs

Question

Zayd gave his wife a divorce (talaq) and turned her out of the house. The girl came to her father's house. Then the young man's maternal uncle came and, by coaxing, took the girl back. The young man turned her out again, and she came to the maternal uncle's place. After some days the girl again arrived at her husband's house. Then the young man said: "Since I have already given you three talaqs, what need is there for you to come to my house again and again?" The child that there was, Zayd kept with himself.

Answer

Since the husband acknowledges the divorce and is not prepared to keep her, once three menstrual periods (hayd) have passed from the time of the divorce, the girl's nikah elsewhere is valid.
