Details Concerning Found Property

Question

The gathering of Panch Mahal district was held in Godhra on 4 April ’89 in the central mosque. On the night of 3 April, in the first row of the Abrar Mosque, Brother Yusuf from the jama‘at of the village of Bhari, Bharuch district, found a valuable sum — gold. The gathering lasted two days, and on both days announcements were made continually at the gathering.

Answer

(1) It should be given to the one who found the luqata. (2) There is no restriction in this: whomever he finds more needy, let him give it to that person in charity (sadaqa). (3) The presence of the respected Mawlana Ibrahim is not necessary; his permission is also sufficient. (4)
