Permission (ijaza) to recite Hizb al-Bahr

Question

Question: Please tell us about the permission (ijaza) to recite the supplication Hizb al-Bahr (“Litany of the Sea”) and the method of practising it.

Answer

If it is to be read merely for reward, then read it once daily at any time. Neither any special method is needed, nor anyone’s permission. If it is to be read for some particular practice, then take permission from some practitioner of incantations.
