Replying to an amrad’s salam while feeling desire
Question
What is the ruling on replying to an amrad’s salam while feeling desire (shahwa)?
Answer
In such a state he should not reply to him. The evil deed is the final stage; often the gaze becomes its cause. If the intention is limited only to looking, i.e. his desire is fulfilled merely by looking, then this too is not correct; rather, some people of verification (arbab al-tahqiq) have declared such gazing graver and “aftah” (?)
