Question

Since when did the group of the Ahl-e Hadith come into existence?

Answer

Acting upon hadith has existed all along, ever since the mission of the Prophet ﷺ began; all the imams acted upon hadith, and the rulings of the mujtahid imams are derived from the Qur’an and hadith themselves — but those masters, being mujtahids, knew the abrogating and the abrogated (nasikh and mansukh).
