Over the past hundred years or so, throughout the world and with it in the subcontinent, political movements spread widely; the various systems of government in the world met with breakage and upheaval of every kind, and the Muslims too had to pass through this quagmire — indeed its harmful effects fell most heavily upon the Muslims.
