The account of the compiler of Fatawa Mahmudiyya, Mufti Muhammad Faruq ﵎. The respected Hazrat Aqdas Mufti ﵋ kept a register of his own, into which he used to have his important fatwas copied by the students of the Dar al-Ifta’. Some fatwas he asked this lowly one to copy as well, and so I had occasion to see the fatwas entered in that register.
