Fatwa Practice: How He Trained Muftis and Cared for His Students

In the Dar al-Ifta’ of Dar al-‘Ulum Deoband the students admitted into the ifta’ department were distributed among the honoured muftis and formed into separate groups; their lessons were assigned to different muftis. All the students took part in every lesson, but each group did its practice in fatwa-writing with a separate mufti.
