An Elegy: “A Mountain of Grief — the Departure of Mufti Mahmud Hasan”

The respected Hazrat Mawlana Zafar Ahmad Jankpuri, may his glory increase, also composed an elegy on the death. It is given here in full. [ar]آج اُٹھ کے سوئے عقبیٰ دارِ فانی سے گئے ٭ تھے جو مفتی، اک فقیہِ امت و شیخِ زمن[/ar] “Today he rose and went from the perishing house towards the hereafter — ٭ he who was a mufti, a jurist of the community and the shaykh of the age.
