The cash–credit price difference is not riba
Question
Question: Can one have one price at the time of a cash purchase and another price at the time of credit? Is this not included in riba?
Answer
This is not riba; it is explicitly stated in Shami. However, to increase the price because of credit so much that the burden on a poor buyer becomes too heavy is contrary to magnanimity (muruwwa), for because of his poverty he deserves kindness and consolation.
