The Sale of a Standing Crop

Question

Is it correct or not to buy or sell something on such terms — for instance, a standing field of sugarcane or a standing field of potatoes, which is called a “crop contract”?

Answer

If the buyer has full knowledge of the thing and there is no condition in it contrary to the Shariʿa, then selling and buying in this way is correct; let him take the thing he has bought and take possession of it.
