E1210 Carbomer — is it halal?

Description

Carbomer (E1210) is crosslinked polyacrylic acid: acrylic acid (c1) with allyl pentaerythritol (c3) in ethyl acetate (c8), peroxide initiator (c11); in the EU only in food supplements. The EU specification names no animal raw material and no ethanol. Possible links: raw materials of raw materials — glycerol of bio-acrylic acid (c2), methanol and ethanol in crosslinker feedstock (c4, c5)
