The Holy Quran 9:57 — Surah At-Tawbah

Arabic text

لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَـًٔا أَوْ مَغَـٰرَٰتٍ أَوْ مُدَّخَلًا لَّوَلَّوْا۟ إِلَيْهِ وَهُمْ يَجْمَحُونَ

Translation

(In fact, they are so terrified that) If they find any place of safety, a cave or any place to enter (to hide themselves), they would hurry to it in great haste. (However, since they cannot hide themselves anywhere, they continue pretending to be Muslims.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

لو يجد هؤلاء المنافقون مأمنًا وحصنًا يحفظهم، أو كهفًا في جبل يؤويهم، أو نفقًا في الأرض ينجيهم منكم، لانصرفوا إليه وهم يسرعون.
