The Holy Quran 9:58 — Surah At-Tawbah

Arabic text

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَلْمِزُكَ فِى ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتِ فَإِنْ أُعْطُوا۟ مِنْهَا رَضُوا۟ وَإِن لَّمْ يُعْطَوْا۟ مِنْهَآ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْخَطُونَ

Translation

Among them (Munaafiqeen) are (also) those who mock you concerning (the distribution of) charity. If they are given (a share) from it, they are pleased and if they are not given, they become annoyed.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ومن المنافقين مَن يعيبك في قسمة الصدقات، فإن نالهم نصيب منها رضوا وسكتوا، وإن لم يصبهم حظ منها سخطوا عليك وعابوك.
