The Holy Quran 7:98 — Surah Al-A'raf

Arabic text

أَوَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا ضُحًى وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ

Translation

Or are they secure against Our punishment afflicting them during midmorning while they are playing (whether for pleasure or for physical development)?

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أوَ أمن أهل القرى أن يأتيهم عذاب الله وقت الضحى، وهم غافلون متشاغلون بأمور دنياهم؟ وخصَّ الله هذين الوقتين بالذكر، لأن الإنسان يكون أغْفَل ما يكون فيهما، فمجيء العذاب فيهما أفظع وأشد.
