The Holy Quran 7:93 — Surah Al-A'raf

Arabic text

فَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَـٰلَـٰتِ رَبِّى وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ ءَاسَىٰ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ كَـٰفِرِينَ

Translation

So (after they had all been destroyed) he (Shu'ayb عليه الصلاة والسلام) turned away from them and said (to the dead), "O my people! Verily I conveyed to you the messages of my Rabb and I advised you. Why should I (now) grieve over a nation of Kaafiroon?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فأعرض شعيب عنهم حينما أيقن بحلول العذاب بهم، وقال: يا قوم لقد أبلغتكم رسالات ربي، ونصحت لكم بالدخول في دين الله والإقلاع عما أنتم عليه، فلم تسمعوا ولم تطيعوا، فكيف أحزن على قوم جحدوا وحدانية الله وكذبوا رسله؟
