Translation

When Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام arrived for Our appointment and His Rabb had spoken to him (directly), he said, "O my Rabb, show me (Yourself so) that I may see You." If it remains in its place (after a tiny fraction of My illumination reaches it) then you may (have the ability to) see me." (However,) When his Rabb manifested His illumination to the mountain, he made it crash to pieces, and (seeing the marvellous spectacle) Moosa When he recovered he said, "I declare Your purity (You are too Pure to be seen by the eyes of this world)! I repent (for asking for something that I had not been commanded to ask) and I am the first of the Mu'mineen (of my time)."
