The Holy Quran 5:67 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

Translation

O Rasool ﷺ! Propagate (convey) what (everything that) has been revealed to you from your Rabb (and do not fear the reaction of the Kuffaar). If you do not do so (if you hide something), then you have not conveyed Allaah's message (because hiding some of it is as bad as hiding of it all). Allaah shall protect you from the people (and they will be unable to kill you). Surely Allaah does not guide the nation of Kaafiroon. (Rasulullaah ﷺ therefore conveyed the complete message of Islaam.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

يا أيها الرسول بلِّغ وحي الله الذي أنزِل إليك من ربك، وإن قصَّرت في البلاغ فَكَتَمْتَ منه شيئًا، فإنك لم تُبَلِّغ رسالة ربِّك، وقد بلَّغ صلى الله عليه وسلم رسالة ربه كاملة، فمن زعم أنه كتم شيئًا مما أنزِل عليه، فقد أعظم على الله ورسوله الفرية. والله تعالى حافظك وناصرك على أعدائك، فليس عليك إلا البلاغ.
