The Holy Quran 5:5 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

ٱلْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتُ ۖ وَطَعَامُ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ ۖ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَـٰفِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىٓ أَخْدَانٍ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۥ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ

Translation

Today the pure (wholesome) things have been permitted (made lawful) for you. The food of those who have been given the Book (those true Jews and Christians who do not commit Shirk and who slaughter in the name of Allaah) is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. So too (lawful for you Muslims) are the chaste Mu'mineen women and the chaste women of those who have been given the Book before you (Jews and Christians) when you give them their dowries, on the condition that you marry lawfully without fornicating or fostering secretive relations. Whoever rejects Imaan has indeed destroyed his actions and will be among the losers in the Aakhirah (if he dies without Imaan).

ومن تمام نعمة الله عليكم اليوم -أيها المؤمنون- أن أَحَلَّ لكم الحلال الطيب، وذبائحُ اليهود والنصارى -إن ذكَّوها حَسَبَ شرعهم- حلال لكم وذبائحكم حلال لهم. وأَحَلَّ لكم -أيها المؤمنون- نكاح المحصنات، وهُنَّ الحرائر من النساء المؤمنات، العفيفات عن الزنى، وكذلك نكاحَ الحرائر العفيفات من اليهود والنصارى إذا أعطيتموهُنَّ مهورهن، وكنتم أعِفَّاء غير مرتكبين للزنى،…
