The Holy Quran 4:93 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَآؤُهُۥ جَهَنَّمُ خَـٰلِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُۥ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُۥ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا

Translation

Whoever purposely murders (deliberately) a Mu'min (regarding his act as a permissible act), his punishment shall be Jahannam where he shall live forever (as long as Allaah wills). Allaah shall be angry with him, curse him and prepare for him a dreadful (mighty) punishment.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ومن يَعْتَدِ على مؤمن فيقتله عن عمد بغير حق فعاقبته جهنم، خالدًا فيها مع سخط الله تعالى عليه وطَرْدِهِ من رحمته، إن جازاه على ذنبه وأعدَّ الله له أشد العذاب بسبب ما ارتكبه من هذه الجناية العظيمة. ولكنه سبحانه يعفو ويتفضل على أهل الإيمان فلا يجازيهم بالخلود في جهنم.
