The Holy Quran 4:172 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

لَّن يَسْتَنكِفَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ أَن يَكُونَ عَبْدًا لِّلَّهِ وَلَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَسْتَنكِفْ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَيَسْتَكْبِرْ فَسَيَحْشُرُهُمْ إِلَيْهِ جَمِيعًا

Translation

Maseeh (Isa عليه الصلاة والسلام) is never ashamed to be a slave of Allaah, neither are the favoured angels. Whoever is ashamed of worshipping Him and is proud, Allaah shall soon gather them all to Him (on the Day of Qiyaamah when they have to account for their actions).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

لن يَأْنف ولن يمتنع المسيح أن يكون عبدًا لله، وكذلك لن يأنَفَ الملائكة المُقَرَّبون من الإقرار بالعبودية لله تعالى. ومن يأنف عن الانقياد والخضوع ويستكبر فسيحشرهم كلهم إليه يوم القيامة، ويفصلُ بينهم بحكمه العادل، ويجازي كلا بما يستحق.
