The Holy Quran 4:173 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦ ۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَنكَفُوا۟ وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا

Translation

As for those who have Imaan and do righteous acts, He shall grant them their rewards in full and increase His bounty to them. As for those (such as the Christians) who are ashamed (of worshipping Him) and are proud (rebellious), He shall inflict upon them an unbearable (painful) punishment and they will not find any friend nor any helper (against the punishment) besides Allaah.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فأمَّا الذين صَدَّقوا بالله اعتقادًا وقولا وعملا واستقاموا على شريعته فيوفيهم ثواب أعمالهم، ويزيدُهم من فضله، وأما الذين امتنعوا عن طاعة الله، واستكبروا عن التذلل له فيعذبهم عذابًا موجعًا، ولا يجدون لهم وليًّا ينجيهم من عذابه، ولا ناصرًا ينصرهم من دون الله.
