The Holy Quran 42:43 — Surah Ash-Shuraa

Arabic text

وَلَمَن صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمِنْ عَزْمِ ٱلْأُمُورِ

Translation

Whoever exercises patience and pardons (those who wrong them), this is certainly among the most resolute of matters (for it requires great courage).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولمن صبر على الأذى، وقابل الإساءة بالعفو والصفح والسَّتر، إن ذلك من عزائم الأمور المشكورة والأفعال الحميدة التي أمر الله بها، ورتَّب لها ثوابًا جريلا وثناءً حميدًا.
