The Holy Quran 42:12 — Surah Ash-Shuraa

Arabic text

لَهُۥ مَقَالِيدُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

Translation

To Him belongs the keys (control and knowledge) of the heavens and the earth. He increases (livelihood) sustenance for whoever He wills, and also decreases (for whom He wills). Undoubtedly, He has knowledge of everything (and He knows exactly who needs what at which time).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

له سبحانه وتعالى ملك السماوات والأرض، وبيده مفاتيح الرحمة والأرزاق، يوسِّع رزقه على مَن يشاء مِن عباده ويضيِّقه على مَن يشاء، إنه تبارك وتعالى بكل شيء عليم، لا يخفى عليه شيء من أمور خلقه.
