The Holy Quran 41:47 — Surah Fussilat

Arabic text

۞ إِلَيْهِ يُرَدُّ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ ۚ وَمَا تَخْرُجُ مِن ثَمَرَٰتٍ مِّنْ أَكْمَامِهَا وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِۦ ۚ وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِى قَالُوٓا۟ ءَاذَنَّـٰكَ مَا مِنَّا مِن شَهِيدٍ

Translation

The knowledge of (when) Qiyaamah (will occur) is referred to Him only (only He knows when Qiyaamah will take place). In His knowledge is every fruit that emerges from its covering (sheath), every female that bears (a child), and every female that delivers (only Allaah knows the qualities and future of the child). The (Day of Qiyaamah is the) day when they (the Mushrikeen) will be asked (by Allaah), "Where are My partners (the partners you ascribed to Me)" (Call them to help you.) They will submit, "We declare (confess) to You that none of us can testify (that You have any partner. Today we have realised that our beliefs were wrong)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إلى الله تعالى وحده لا شريك له يُرْجَع علم الساعة، فإنه لا يعلم أحد متى قيامها غيره، وما تخرج من ثمرات من أوعيتها، وما تحمل مِن أنثى ولا تضع حَمْلها إلا بعلم من الله، لا يخفى عليه شيء من ذلك. ويوم ينادي الله تعالى المشركين يوم القيامة توبيخًا لهم وإظهارًا لكذبهم: أين شركائي الذين كنتم تشركونهم في عبادتي؟
