The Holy Quran 41:16 — Surah Fussilat

Arabic text

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ ۖ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ

Translation

So We sent a fierce (fearful) windstorm against them during the ill-fated (miserable) days (the days of punishment, which lasted for seven nights and eight days), to make them taste (suffer) a humiliating punishment in this worldly life (before tasting the punishment of the Aakhirah). The punishment of the Aakhirah is even more humiliating (degrading), and they will never be assisted (aided).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فأرسلنا عليهم ريحًا شديدة البرودة عالية الصوت في أيام مشؤومات عليهم؛ لنذيقهم عذاب الذل والهوان في الحياة الدنيا، ولَعذاب الآخرة أشد ذلا وهوانًا، وهم لا يُنْصَرون بمنع العذاب عنهم.
