The Holy Quran 3:68 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

إِنَّ أَوْلَى ٱلنَّاسِ بِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَـٰذَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Translation

Verily those closest to Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام, (those who can most rightfully claim a relationship with him) are the ones who followed him and this Nabi (Muhammad ﷺ), as well as those who have Imaan (the Ummah of Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام, and Muhammad ﷺ are most like him). Allaah is the Protecting Friend of the Mu'mineen (when they fulfil His commands).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إنَّ أحق الناس بإبراهيم وأخصهم به، الذين آمنوا به وصدقوا برسالته واتبعوه على دينه، وهذا النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم والذين آمنوا به. والله وليُّ المؤمنين به المتبعين شرعه.
