The Holy Quran 3:195 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

فَٱسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّى لَآ أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَـٰمِلٍ مِّنكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ ۖ بَعْضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ وَأُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَـٰرِهِمْ وَأُوذُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِى وَقَـٰتَلُوا۟ وَقُتِلُوا۟ لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ثَوَابًا مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ ٱلثَّوَابِ

Translation

Their Rabb responds to them (accepts their prayer saying), "Surely I shall not put to waste the action of any person (who acts) from you, (whether the person is) male or female. You (males and females) are from each other (and deserve equal rewards). For those who migrate (leaving behind their homes, families and wealth), who are driven out of their homes (by oppression), who suffer pain in My cause (for My Deen), who fight (in Jihaad) and are killed, I shall most certainly remove from them (forgive) their evil actions and I will certainly enter them into Jannaat beneath which rivers flow." (All of this is) A reward from Allaah. With Allaah are the best (worthy and deserving) rewards.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فأجاب الله دعاءهم بأنه لا يضيع جهد مَن عمل منهم عملا صالحًا ذكرًا كان أو أنثى، وهم في أُخُوَّة الدين وقَبول الأعمال والجزاء عليها سواء، فالذين هاجروا رغبةً في رضا الله تعالى، وأُخرجوا من ديارهم، وأوذوا في طاعة ربهم وعبادتهم إيّاه، وقاتلوا وقُتِلوا في سبيل الله لإعلاء كلمته، ليسترنَّ الله عليهم ما ارتكبوه من المعاصي، كما سترها عليهم في الدنيا، فلا يحاسبهم…
