The Holy Quran 3:16 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

Translation

(Those who have Taqwa are) Those who say, “O our Rabb, we certainly have Imaan (a prerequisite for forgiveness) so forgive our sins and save us from the punishment of the fire (of Jahannam)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

هؤلاء العباد المتقون يقولون: إننا آمنا بك، واتبعنا رسولك محمدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم، فامْحُ عنا ما اقترفناه من ذنوب، ونجنا من عذاب النار.
