The Holy Quran 37:102 — Surah As-Saffat
Translation
When the child (Ismaa'eel عليه الصلاة والسلام) reached the age where he could run about (Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام) said to him, "O my beloved son! Verily, I have seen (thrice) in a dream that I am slaughtering you. So (carefully) consider your opinion (on the matter because your life is at stake)." He (Ismaa'eel عليه الصلاة والسلام) replied, "O my beloved father! Do as you have been commanded (because the dreams of the Ambiyaa عليهم الصلاة والسلام entail revelation). If Allaah wills, you will soon find me to be among the patient ones (who will endure the sacrifice)."
Tafsir (excerpt) —
