The Holy Quran 36:66 — Surah Ya-Sin

Arabic text

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ

Translation

If We wished, We could have wiped out their eyes. They will then run to (find) the path, but how will they see (without vision)?

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولو نشاء لطمسنا على أعينهم بأن نُذْهب أبصارهم، كما ختمنا على أفواههم، فبادَروا إلى الصراط ليجوزوه، فكيف يتحقق لهم ذلك وقد طُمِست أبصارهم؟
