The Holy Quran 33:14 — Surah Al-Ahzab

Arabic text

وَلَوْ دُخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَقْطَارِهَا ثُمَّ سُئِلُوا۟ ٱلْفِتْنَةَ لَـَٔاتَوْهَا وَمَا تَلَبَّثُوا۟ بِهَآ إِلَّا يَسِيرًا

Translation

If an enemy has to attack them from the flanks (sides of the city) and they (the Munaafiqeen) were asked (by the enemy) to cause trouble (among the Muslims), they would comply with only a moment's hesitance (a normal behaviour of theirs).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولو دخل جيش الأحزاب «المدينة» من جوانبها، ثم سئل هؤلاء المنافقون الشرك بالله والرجوع عن الإسلام، لأجابوا إلى ذلك مبادرين، وما تأخروا عن الشرك إلا يسيرًا.
