The Holy Quran 30:55 — Surah Ar-Rum

Arabic text

وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْفَكُونَ

Translation

The day when Qiyaamah will dawn, the criminals (sinners) will swear an oath saying, "We never stayed (in the world or in the grave) more than a moment." In this manner (just as they will be deceived to misrepresent the duration of their stay) they were always deceived (in this world by their hopes, by Shaytaan and other factors which led them to kufr and sin).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ويوم تجيء القيامة ويبعث الله الخلق من قبورهم يقسم المشركون ما مكثوا في الدنيا غير فترة قصيرة من الزمن، كذبوا في قسمهم، كما كانوا يكذبون في الدنيا، وينكرون الحق الذي جاءت به الرسل.
