The Holy Quran 2:269 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

يُؤْتِى ٱلْحِكْمَةَ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُؤْتَ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِىَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا ۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّآ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ

Translation

He gives wisdom (the understanding of Deen and beneficial knowledge that one practises) to whom He wills, and whoever is given wisdom has indeed received tremendous good (because it will lead him to success). Only people with intelligence (understanding) take heed.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

يؤتي الله الإصابة في القول والفعل مَن يشاء من عباده، ومن أنعم الله عليه بذلك فقد أعطاه خيرًا كثيرً��. وما يتذكر هذا وينتفع به إلا أصحاب العقول المستنيرة بنور الله وهدايته.
