The Holy Quran 29:27 — Surah Al-'Ankabut

Arabic text

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ذُرِّيَّتِهِ ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ أَجْرَهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

Translation

We gifted (blessed) him with (a son) Is'haaq عليه الصلاة والسلام and (a grandson) Ya'qoob عليه الصلاة والسلام, kept Prophethood and scriptures in his progeny (by making his descendants Ambiyaa عليهم الصلاة والسلام) and granted him his reward in this world. (In addition to this, he will also be rewarded tremendously in the Aakhirah because) He shall certainly be among the righteous ones in the Aakhirah.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ووهبنا له إسحاق ولدًا، ويعقوب من بعده وَلَدَ وَلَدٍ، وجعلنا في ذريته الأنبياء والكتب، وأعطيناه ثواب بلائه فينا، في الدنيا الذكر الحسن والولد الصالح، وإنه في الآخرة لمن الصالحين.
