The Holy Quran 29:26 — Surah Al-'Ankabut

Arabic text

۞ فَـَٔامَنَ لَهُۥ لُوطٌ ۘ وَقَالَ إِنِّى مُهَاجِرٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّىٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Translation

(From among Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام's people, his nephew) Loot عليه الصلاة والسلام believed him. (After trying in vain to convince his people after many years,) Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام (eventually) said, "I shall migrate to (a place called Shaam where) my Rabb (has commanded me to go, to Shaam). He is certainly the Mighty, the Wise (and knows what is best for me)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فصدَّق لوطٌ إبراهيمَ وتبع ملته. وقال إبراهيم: إني تارك دار قومي إلى الأرض المباركة وهي «الشام» ، إن الله هو العزيز الذي لا يُغَالَب، الحكيم في تدبيره.
