The Holy Quran 25:31 — Surah Al-Furqan

Arabic text

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا

Translation

In this manner (just as Rasulullaah had opposition) We have appointed from the criminals (the Kuffaar) an enemy for every Nabi. (However, the Ambiyaa had no cause to fear their enemies because) Your Rabb suffices as a Guide and a Helper (He will make you reach the desired destination).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وكما جعلنا لك - أيها الرسول - أعداء من مجرمي قومك، جعلنا لكل نبيٍّ من الأنبياء عدوًا من مجرمي قومه، فاصبر كما صبروا. وكفى بربك هاديًا ومرشدًا ومعينًا يعينك على أعدائك. وفي هذا تسلية لنبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
