The Holy Quran 25:32 — Surah Al-Furqan

Arabic text

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ جُمْلَةً وَٰحِدَةً ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُ تَرْتِيلًا

Translation

Those who commit kufr say, "Why was the entire Qur'aan not revealed to him (Rasulullaah) all at once (like how the Torah was revealed) ?" We have revealed it in this manner (part by part over a period of approximately 23 years) so that your heart (O Rasulullaah) may be strengthened by it (when it provides you with encouragement each time you require it), and We have revealed (recited) it gradually (slowly so that it is easier to understand and easier to memorise).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وقال الذين كفروا: هلا أنزل القرآن على محمد جملة واحدة كالتوراة والإنجيل والزبور! قال الله سبحانه وتعالى: كذلك أنزلناه مفرقًا؛ لنقوِّي به قلبك وتزداد به طمأنينة، فتعيه وتحمله، وبيَّنَّاه في تثبت ومُهْلَة.
