The Holy Quran 24:55 — Surah An-Nur

Arabic text

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمَا ٱسْتَخْلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى ٱرْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا ۚ يَعْبُدُونَنِى لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِى شَيْـًٔا ۚ وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ

Translation

Allaah has promised those of you who have Imaan and who do good actions that He will definitely make them successors (of the rulers) on earth just as He had made those before them successors. And He will certainly grant (great) strength to the Deen that He has chosen for them and will certainly replace their fear with peace (on condition that) they worship Me and do not ascribe any as partner to Me. Those who are ungrateful after this are sinful indeed.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وعد الله بالنصر الذين آمنوا منكم وعملوا الأعمال الصالحة، بأن يورثهم أرض المشركين، ويجعلهم خلفاء فيها، مثلما فعل مع أسلافهم من المؤمنين بالله ورسله، وأن يجعل دينهم الذي ارتضاه لهم -وهو الإسلام- دينًا عزيزًا مكينًا، وأن يبدل حالهم من الخوف إلى الأمن، إذا عبدوا الله وحده، واستقاموا على طاعته، ولم يشركوا معه شيئًا، ومن كفر بعد ذلك الاستخلاف والأمن والتمكين…
