The Holy Quran 20:59 — Surah Taha

Arabic text

قَالَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ يَوْمُ ٱلزِّينَةِ وَأَن يُحْشَرَ ٱلنَّاسُ ضُحًى

Translation

Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام said, "Your appointment (for the contest) shall be on the day of adornment (a day of festivity to celebrate Firoun's birth day), and the people should be gathered at midmorning (to be spectators)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال موسى لفرعون: موعدكم للاجتماع يوم العيد، حين يتزيَّن الناس، ويجتمعون من كل فج وناحية وقت الضحى.
