The Holy Quran 20:126 — Surah Taha

Arabic text

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَـٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ

Translation

He (Allaah) will say, "This (is how it shall be for you). Our Aayaat came to you, but you forgot them. In the same way (as you had forgotten) you will be forgotten today (and your request will not be heeded to)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال الله تعالى له: حشرتك أعمى; لأنك أتتك آياتي البينات، فأعرضت عنها، ولم تؤمن بها، وكما تركتَها في الدنيا فكذلك اليوم تُترك في النار.
